Steve Wilikin is a long time friend, former work colleague and fellow musician.

When evaluating the 'Here to Stay' album and exploring new goals for the next release, I decided to hand-over the bass to a 'real' bassplayer on 'Past Forward'.

I consider myself as a very average bass player and I wanted to hear what a perfect bassline with more groove would do to the songs.

Steve immediately crossed my mind. We played together many times in the past when I was still drumming, and it was such a privilige to be part of a rhythm section with Steve. Our groove was undenied and so much fun. 

Steve and I did several recording sessions in my studio and from the first note it was clear that it was the best decision of the year to replace myself on bass. Steve laid down the tracks for Hysteria and Adolescent Sex. In the latter you hear a glimpse of his funky slapping skills, which we could integrate seamlessly into a heavy rock song. It sounds very cool.
