Adolescent Sex
Adolescent Sex is another one of my guilty pleasures. As a young kid I loved this song, and watching these punky new wave musicians like David Sylvian and Steve Jansen on TV left me in awe.
So I dedicate this song to myself ;-) this is a true trip down memory lane, and this song was a logic candidate for me to cover on this EP.

To catch the funky groove of the original bass I asked Steve Wilikin to play the bass on this one, and as you will hear in the intro to the main solo, his slapping skills are awesome.
The song title could come across as controversial, but the lyrics are about youthful rebellion and provocation, using sexuality as a metaphor for breaking social taboos. The lyrics reflect a fascination with decadence, identity, and desire, while also critiquing conformity and hypocrisy in society. Rather than telling a literal story, it projects an image of urban tension and youthful defiance, very much in line with the late ’70s glam-punk attitude.
